Raymond Jeanvrot (1886-1966), of Bordeaux origin, was a passionate collector of Bourbon memorabilia. He collected with fervor paintings, prints and various objects constituting a unique royalist collection, particularly oriented towards the persons of the Duchess of Berry and the Duke of Bordeaux.
As early as 1900, he began keeping a journal that he continued to keep until the end of his life, commenting on his acquisitions, his passion and his finds, and where we meet throughout the pages the Bordeaux luminaries of the first half of the 20th century such as Prefect Delaunay, Jacques Chaban-Delmas... Nearly 18,000 pieces of the collection are present in the Bordeaux museum.
