Dessins orientalistes du musée Condé

As part of the exhibition dedicated to Orientalism at the Musée Condé, this book takes up the beginnings of the Orientalist movement with Eugène Delacroix's first trip to Morocco. As a pioneer who brought back colors, drawings, sketches and notebooks from the Maghreb, Delacroix opened the way for a new generation of artists to discover these new landscapes, which had been relatively unknown until then. This book contains beautiful illustrations of drawings by Delacroix but also by other artists who inaugurated this first breakthrough in the oriental world.
